Wow, beautiful plants. Not sure what that smaller U/I plant is. I suppose it could simply be a cross. Hopefully, someone can identify those unique characteristics that you identified.

I really thought there was little benefit to growing in pots much over 5lbs, but it sure seems like your bigger pots do help. I just cannot imagine having to pay for the ingredients to fill 10-20 gallon pots.

Like you, I used to grow a bunch of different varieties. When I first started growing, I was trying several new varieties each season. But, lately, with the cost and space limitations, I have begun to grow fewer varieties and more of the ones that I actually plan to use. I have given away several hundred peppers each year. Those that I could not or did not want to use and I couldn't give away, I simply dumped. You can only use so many super hots. I have all the powders and flakes I can use for a couple years already. Now I just grow what I plan to use and maybe a couple extras for fun.

But, again, those are some amazing pepper plants. Huge!

Tim - Great video update. I'm in the same boat, been so busy this summer to keep up with all the pepper plants and other items I have growing. Each year I say I'm going to cut back, hopefully next year I'll listen and actually cut back and grow only what I can use.. But I do like trying to grow something new each year.

Regarding your mystery plant and peppers. I have no clue, but they sure look nice. I'd suggest drying some for powder as you would other hots...

Hope to see more updates and you around here.

Tim,

excellent video update, your chocolate habanero in ground is amazing with how large it is. That pepper will make an excellent sauce. Did not see your dog in this video. As for your mystery pepper, a bubblegum crossed with mustard habanero?

check out this link for a comparison.

I have about 15 or 20 Galapagos peppers that are green as soon as those go ripe hopefully soon I can send you some seeds.
