Help with lawn.

Do not know what to do. I have been told that burmuda grass is taking over. Looks like it's getting worse. Water once a week, mowing at highest height. Any help is greatly appreciated. Zone 8b central Texas. First picture is a few weeks ago, second is yesterday.

Any suggestions on what I should do. Grass is not growing much in that area.

Normally you just have to soften up those areas, but let's see what DC can offer on all that browning
