Very nice seedlings and the second one has a yellow edge on every leaf!! That's a rare find. :-)

Yep, that's an edge on the tiniest one! That's why I hope it shows up next spring. I'm turning into a BIG hosta nerd, as opposed to the small hosta nerd I was ; )

That second one is a nice find. I would take the nerdiness one step further and mark and protect the area. A dome of chicken wire, an overturned wire mesh hanging basket, something.

Finding hosta seedlings is fun! I'd be excited to find one that wasn't a plain green, but that one might turn out to be a good one, too. Sometimes it's the little things that can make our day. :-)

They are positively adorable.

The seedlings survived! The edged one has bigger leaves this spring. It's still really small, maybe getting a ruffled edge, I can only hope!

How exciting.. I look forward to more pictures as it grows. How's the other one doing?

О ! How does this little one change! She had round leafes- and now they are wide-oval. I do not allow my hostas to flower (exept mouses). Now I will let them bloom to get seeds....

The other seedling was totally heaved out of the ground. I replanted it and it's looking fine.

Two months later, here's what it looks like. It's growing under two good sized daylilies.

Sherry, it is doing well! :D. It reminds me a bit of my Golden Tiara but what caught my eye is the elongated leaf base on those two new leaves. Curious to see how it ends up later on this year. The petioles are not channeled like the others. There is another little nubbin to stretch up yet...wonder if it will look like the last two leaves...
