Do you like the candlesticks on the table?

Disregard the wrapping on the candles and the one candle that is the wrong size.

Thanks!

Seem to be fighting with the chandelier...

I would look at your space and count the number of tall items. There are too many. So the candlesticks just bring this out. Is the tall narrow mirror staying? I think you could remove candlesticks and mirror and put a long low glass or crystal tray on the table and done. Pretty room. Sometimes we don't know when to stop. It happens. Just remove and you will like it better I believe.

too tall for this set up.

I was wondering about that. I think something under the candelier will fight it even more. Keep the table empty or do you have a suggestion for something else?

Have you tried the paintings over your buffet. I think that would work better. Then if you still want the mirror in your space, try it at end of table.

A while back someone suggested moving the tall mirrors (there is one on each side of buffet and put them horizontally behind the buffet instead (both of them). This is a major project for my husband hence the wait but would that make it look better?

    Here are the two mirrors.

I agree with the first comment! It is fighting the chandelier.

The table top could use a subtle glass piece or tray but keep it simple. I will post some ideas. The room is very nice. Love the floors!

BTW, the chandelier is PERFECT! It makes the space really.

    Pretty!

I love the chandelier :)! It's funny to me that people say I have too much in the room. I tend to be such a minimalist that it ends up looking sparse. Maybe I am overcompensating in this room :).

I agree with others. Candles are too tall. Maybe bowl in middle. Don't want to distract from your chandelier.
I moved a tray I had somewhere else onto the table. Good?
Flo Mangan's suggestion was perfect. Less, in your case, is more, I think! One elegant, minimalist bowl or long tray would compliment your lovely room and not compete with your spectacular chandelier. Let that be the focal point of your room!

Not quite. It needs to be long and nothing on it at all. This is round. It is silver which would be good, but needs to speak to the long lines you have in the chandelier and the table. Definitely remove all other "little" items.

Thank you Flo! I was told by someone else (not here) that I shouldn't put something long because it would compete or interfere with the chandelier. I will see what else I can find.

No mam, you repeat shapes and colors to create cohesion between pieces. But, we all have our opinions. I would look for something that is at least 18-20" long. Your table is extra long, the light fixture is long so it has to "speak" that language, if you know what I mean. lol

Something to mimic the shape of the chandelier for the table top. The mirrors are not working in this room. I would purchase the matching sconces for the walls and place some art over the buffet. Maybe paint the insert on the ceiling.

The chandelier is beautiful just wish the wiring was clear instead of black. :( I would suggest hanging the two mirrors horizontally over each other between lamps on buffet. It looks like lamps can be separated a little more. The mirrors would be reflecting the chandelier. Just a thought. Love Flo's advice and she should feel free to say if this is dumb idea. ;-)). Agree about table centerpiece being low and long.
I remember your room from your other dilemma. The art may look better on the long wall above the buffet. It's too big for the wall it's on. Do you still have " matching" art on the wall opposite the buffet. The mirrors seem a little out of place, pushed way over on each side of the room. The table scape could use some color. It's all a little gloomy. Do you get much natural light. How does the chandelier look at night? It's pretty.

I love a big piece of art on the wall like Beverley said.

Love your dining table! I would hang your mirrors behind the lamps.

Have you considered hanging 1 mirror vertically above the buffet? It would reflect the lovely chandelier which is the showpiece in the room. Remove the lamps. You have enough light from you chandelier and the lamps seem to crowd the room. Add wall mounted sconces (could just hold candles if you like) where you currently have the two mirrors, if you feel you need something on the wall there. But you may not want anything there. As for your table, once you remove the 2 lamps, you can add 2 lovely vases and flowers.

Personally I would not add the bowl in the middle.

I think you need a long rectangular centerpiece maybe light wood or twigs like floor color. I would put a simple display of moss balls or simple minimalist low hugging flower arrangement. Bronze would also look nice. Where your pictures are currently, I would move side by side behind the buffet. I would then place your mirrors horizontally stacking directly above the other where your pictures were. Do you love the candlesticks? Stagger them along the buffet and consider taller lamps.

I love your room!! Your light is perfect. I too would remove the candles too much going on .... Perhaps a classy runner and a low oval tray/ bowl type thing

I can't find a bowl that I like. What do you think of these candlesticks? Disregard candle wrappings.
