You should hang a towel on the sliding door handle and let them let themselves in the house!! Of course getting them to close the door might be a harder trick to learn!! :) It's so nice how great they are getting along!

haha! they have a dog door and eden knows how to use it just as well as the other two. she will use it unless she sees me inside, then she will wait for me to open the door for her.

there has not been a single glitch. eden has been here 4 weeks today and they have all been best friends from day one! :)

I found a Harlequin puppy over 20 years ago running down the side of the road. There weren't any houses anywhere near. She was frantic and jumped in my Jeep as soon as I opened the door. We tried to find the owner, but no one ever claimed her....... My son had a friend who took her. We would of kept her, but already had a dog that DID NOT like other dogs.

I'm glad to see you are well trained. Nothing worse than a human who just can't learn! Seriously, the dogs are stunningly beautiful, especially Eden. (no offense to anyone else)

LOL susan! and no offense taken. honestly, when you look at eden who was bred by one of the best dane breeders in the country and then you look at olivia and destiny, the difference is glaringly obvious. of course, that doesn't make me love them any less. it does provide me with a great teaching tool for people who see them together and ask. i can explain the difference between a reputable breeder and a backyard breeder which i have done numerous times in the last few weeks!

oh nannygoat! if it ever happens again, PLEEEEASE get a picture!! you will find this to be the case more often than not. many times, a dane will instinctively lay down to play with a small dog. my nephew and his wife who live up the lane are both out of the country. his mom is staying in their house for a few months and taking care of their dogs. they have an aussie and a mixed breed, both very small. many mornings when she lets them out of the house, they both run up the lane to my place. destiny and olivia are so used to seeing them, they don't even get out of bed. eden, on the other hand, will take any opportunity to play so she will go out and run around with them, after a few minutes, they head home and eden comes back in and goes back to bed. :)

Don't you just love it when your dogs have friends! :) When I was a kid, our dog, Charlie, who was a border collie/beagle mix, had two friends that he ran around with. Sonny, who was a cocker spaniel and Prince, who was a large German Shepherd were Charlie's friends. They always ran around together and I can remember them one winter climbing up on an igloo we had made. Those were the days!
