There are a number different medium slicer varieties grown and sold as such by greenhouse producers. The only way you might discover which specific variety it is is to contact the grower on the label directly (if the info is provided).

Greenhouse-grown cluster varieties for market include Trust, BHN, Climstar, Cobra, Geronimo, Big Dena, etc. just to name a few.

If you are talking about the cherry/small fruit varieties sold then the number of possibilities increases by 10x.

No, I mean the medium sized tomatoes. The ones at the grocery store I go to have nothing more than a sticker with a number for the register. I was debating trying to grow my own and wondered what variety they might be as if I'd have the space.

Then you'd have to get the store to tell who who their supplier for the tomatoes is. The supplier may be the grower too but most likely just a distributor for other growers.

Also keep in mind that the odds are those tomatoes were grown hydroponically - thus the milder flavor - so you'd have to duplicate the growing conditions to get anything like the same flavor.

Looks like one local supplier might be hydroponic, but the others who knows.

I developed a food intolerance a couple of years ago that limits my diet and I have to cook from scratch without canned shortcuts like cream soups because they contain things I can't eat anymore such as onion and garlic so I started growing basil and wondered what else I can do with limited space and also lower my grocery bills that have gone up as a result. I have tons of flowers but no vegetable gardening experience. I like tomatoes when it's an enchilada sauce or salsa but not raw on a burger or most spaghetti sauces. I found I like on stem when cooked.

If you just want to try one in a small open garden, try Cluster Grande. Most of the market varieties are green house varieties that can be quite expensive to grow.
