My husband and I are considering taking out a screened porch and replacing it with an attached 2 car garage-- we would have the proper clearance with our neighbors property, etc if we do this. Problem I see -- our house is build into a slope. Right now the back of the screen porch is built like a deck with 8-10 feet posts in the ground. How would we build out the garage on the slope (front would be level with ground, with the back needing to supported somehow) Do we build up underneath it with earth? Concrete? I'm completely at a loss on how this would work, and before we even move forward talking to a architect/engineer... is this something that could be done or not (with out a hefty price tag)?
