Mixing metals has become more popular recently, but there is a tendency for nickel + chrome to look like an accidental mismatch. I'd try to find nickel that you like.

Another thing to keep in mind, if you don't want to mix finishes but love your fixtures, is that it's relatively easy (in most cases) to change hardware on a vanity. So you can always swap out the nickel pulls and knobs for ones that match your faucet.
