Six months ago I moved into this house and just focused on decorating/painting the inside. About 2 weeks ago I got a new door installed and white cladding over the front windows. Now, I can't stand how bad the porch looks. So, I've decided to paint it. My initial thought is to paint the posts, railings, and the risers in white. The house is a boring basic beige on the outside, but the inside is really cute and has character. I want to add some pop of color, but not really sure what would look good. I was thinking of painting the treads either Hale Blue, Evening Dove, or Navy. Then I would also paint 2 planters I have to match and place them up by the gate. Someday in the future I'd like to add window boxes or something to the windows. Does anyone have ideas or examples of what they've done with a basic beige sided cottage home?
