Crested cactus guessing? Will this work?

I started another thread for this soft spined cactus, I have done even more research and still need help. This cactus

was given to me about 4 months ago. I just realized the other day that most of them don't have roots but look very alive. Turned some of them over (they have always been kind of floppy in the pot) and after looking closely I found some small roots. There are 5 total pieces and it looks like two have roots growing.
I would like to repot them into this pot. It's a bonsai pot with two good sized drainage holes in the bottom. I don't have much on hand but I do have bird grit that I added to some soil.

Will this work, or just work "for now" I dont want to over pot and know that the mix they were in isnt ideal. Any pointers appreciated thank you!

I have edited to say: I read on the forums here that a crested cactus is hard to identify, so I am no longer looking for ID, just wondering if I am taking an okay route in repotting with these tiny roots?
