I went to your blog & it's looking great! amazing how "stuff" gets in the way, hope the healing is going well! Like your shower with the tiles "sideways" makes them looks so much bigger & nicer. The hand holds got in just in time. We put 1 for my dad to make it easier getting off the toilet after his small stroke left him with 1 weak leg(amazing how hard it is then) but shower & toilet were in 1 small room ,length of shower & width of remaining room had about foot on each side of the toilet, you could touch the wall in front of the toilet in you leaned forward so that was perfect spot for handhold. I found good one with good gripping as had slight rough markings so even a wet hand coming out of shower wouldn't slip. I got 1 at dollar store for myself as I'm getting up there too & it's nice with suction cups not screwed in like dad's but if my hand was soapy it wasn't good so I got rubbery strips that you can put in bathtub ,so bottom isn't slippery & wrapped around the handhold in 2 places, now it's great! The handholds the box stores sell often are really smooth & that makes them dangerous, so use either the strips or they have flowers or fish etc even in colors that could be wrapped around the handholds. I got white ones from Home Depot!
