You need green undertone to go with Edgecomb Gray.

Here is my paint color combo. That said, I don’t think I would advise painting the kitchen a different color, based on your photos. Concerned about the three quarter wall. Where did you plan to end the kitchen wall color? Would you take another shot of the door frame to the right of your red pocketbook?

Your granite on my screen is taupe, go with a gray that is on the taupe side and you will love it.

I like pale oak by BM. It's lighter than Edgecomb, but has a greenish undertone as well.

The blue I am seeing is what will become Edgecomb Gray? And the kitchen walls do not go to the ceiling….have you considered painting the kitchen the edgecomb gray? Then choose the darker tone for the other rooms.

What do you have for upholstery colors?

Look at Sherwin Williams Analytical grey #7051 I think. It will pick up both the Browns and greys in your counter.

I think you should try a darker color. Have you seen Chelsea Gray? I think that would look really nice with edgecomb and your white cabinets.

I just pained my living room and dining area in Edgecomb Gray (love!). I think the color is just a bit too neutral for my kitchen, however, as my cabinets are ivory, so there is not enough contrast with the Edgecomb.

After many pints of samples, I think that I have finally landed on Stone Hearth (BM color # CC-490) for the kitchen. It is slightly darker than the Edgecomb, but it is not terribly dark. My ivory cabinets and white counters seem to really pop against the color. I painted a fair amount of the sample on various walls to be sure. I am planning to get started painting the "real" paint this weekend.

My kitchen, while not open concept to my dining-living area, does open up into the space (square opening). I think the Stone Hearth compliments it well. I tried the Squirrel Tail and, while I like the color, I felt that it is far too dark. At least for my space.

My next challenge is finding the right color for the hallway, which also opens up into my dining-living area. I would like a contrasting color, something that is a little darker than Edgecomb, the Squirrel Tail is too dark for there as well, but am not finding the right shade. I may just end up painting Edgecomb there as well, but I haven't made a final decision yet.

It worked out quite well for our open concept kitchen/family room. The Revere Pewter is just alittle darker, not overpowering. Happy with the choice!

Hi, painter just finished painting my kitchen Edgecomb grey. I wanted a true light gray, but since I have some brown colors in my kitchen it was recommended to go with a Greige and this paint color was recommended. I do see a gray tone along with beige. i want to pain my doors gray, but I kind of want walls to keep a kind of soft look, can anyone recommend a a gray that would go with Edgecomb grey that would keep it soft looking. I want to use a kind of light gray sofa in my livingroom. Which is semi open to my kitchen. Thank you!!
