I just saw a show last night in which a couple did not realize how busy a small tile backsplash would be till it was half way up. They spent a lot of money having it redone.

A larger cream white subway imo

This tile is by Alys Edwards. It's in the collection, color fleece. Comes In 7x12 subway, honed travertine with very light veining. I used this with the exact granite with a client & it looks fabulous.

In addition to being too busy to work with the granite, that glass tile is rapidly becoming outdated.

Those are very nice. I don't much care if something is on trend or not myself. I like the glass subways.

Unless you plan on changing your floors, be very careful changing one element like the backsplash. Right now, you have a beautifully coordinated kitchen. Floors, cabinets, counters, backsplash and walls all need to go together. You may start a domino effect. The wall color you show is way too cool for your kitchen. How did you choose a ceiling color when you haven't chosen everything yet?
If you must change the backsplash, keep it simple, but light and warm, you have a very busy granite.

cream subway tiles, and no to gray paint. nothing about the room says gray. stick with the pallet dont bounce on a trend. I would also paint the island

What color would you paint island ? Green ?

not sure. wait till the tile is up. then decide.

I think pearl one is simple and pretty

You don't have any grey in your kitchen now so stick with something in a cream tone that's pulled from the granite. I like the subway tile others suggested.
