I just love that mural, it is so interesting and not "babyish". I think a rug that picked up the midnight blue would be great, but on the other hand a dark rug will show every speck and have you vacuuming constantly, which is not what you will want to be doing with a new baby! None of the posted rugs seem quite "right" to me, maybe keep looking.

Rather than an abstract print on the rug, go with the outdoors theme and a rug with animals.

I don't have anything to add at the moment , but congratulations. You did a beautiful job on the wall. I would play up the coral and perhaps some water shades of blue . As if the wall is the back drop to a lake scene perhaps.
