No they are not saturated, they actually tend to be on the drier side. I had just misted them in the photo. Thank you Gill!

Seedlings must be kept wet throughout, when they are in the media and just sprouting and also after transplantation into individual pots..keeping them dry...may make them die. Nicholas here once covered them in a bag to maintain their humidity but they died (many of them). Best is to spritz them several times a day

I do mist them through the day. But not soaked. Thank you, they are still hanging on.

So sorry Alma. I wouldn't worry myself too much with these. I have had several like the first one, and they just don't make it very often.

I have one now that hasn't formed anything above the cotyledon leaves, and I may try putting keiki paste on that.

The last one I believe is called damping off. It is gone, I fear.

If you're like me, my telling you not to worry will have no effect, but I wanted you to know they're likely gone no matter your skill.

Alma, Jerry has correctly identified the dampening off. That can easily occur with changing temps. Glean from the trial & error (& triumphant!) learning experience. Enjoy your journey and the ones that survive. They are, after all, the strongest. Remember, you have many more seasons ahead of you and practice will teach you what works for your region.

I guess we wait and see. They have been in their new home since friday afternoon, nice and toasty in comparison to what they had been.

this has been my healthiest one and 2 of the leaves are green and whitethis one was growning a little sideways , solid green leavesand now the 2 that were having issues. This one is still white stemed, the one leaf is much biggger, still has a white leaf wit a speck of green. And if you look closely, you can see two tiny brownish green leaves in the middle.and here's my top less seedling, still hanging on and greener and a tab bit taller! Any thoughts on the last two?

Hi Alma. I'll leave it to the experts to advise on the last 2 but WOW! What an improvement on the others. I can admit now that I was worried there for awhile. WHEW!!!

Yeah, I thought I was going to end up with only one of seven. Looking like 3 now, hopefully.

my 3 survivors, the one on the right was the all white one. The stalk is still rather pink but other then that, looks healthy. They are now 4 weeks and a day. My top less one finally died as well as the one that never went up right.
