They look like they are crying out to be painted to me.

Get somebody to come and give you a price for having them all painted some shade of white or cream (anything goes with oak floors and black counters!). Professional painting will give you the best result, although if the price is a kick in the pants, you can read up on how to do a careful job yourself. Then you can have the yellow backsplash removed and replace it with something that gives you a new feel -- could be a marble mosaic, could be a new color (blue glass!), or could go with a neutral that brings a bit of texture, like a clear/white glass tile.

I'd pick the cabinet paint you really like, and then find the backsplash and paint color that go with it and the rest of the room. When you're painting, you can also decide whether you want to keep the same hardware, or take the opportunity to fill in the holes and switch to larger more modern pulls (that probably require new holes)...

Looks like a nice kitchen, so this should be a relatively low-pain way to feeling like you have a whole new space!

The hardwood floor can be sanded/restained darker, and if the inside of the cabinets are still in good shape, you could have these professionally painted. Changing up these 2 items may help to pull the yellow-orange enough out of the space. Your backsplash doesn't appear that yellow (on my screen), it is already a subway-style so I would recommend those 2 changes and then take a look at how it all plays together.
