Assuming you do have furniture, the bedding must be chosen first. Then paint can be selected or even custom blended to work with the bedding. I suggest you hit the linen specialty stores and find bedding to fall in love with. From there the project should go very smoothly. If you'll post a pic of the room, furniture, and your new bedding we'll get to work.

Is this a basement room? If so, maybe some sort of hard flooring with area rugs would be a safer choice than carpet.

I like simple bedding in a guest room with crisp white sheets and a minimum of decorative pillows how about something like this with pale blue walls .

Yes I think simple is better and than I can decorate with colours other ways in the room.
