OS groups

Does anyone here have experience with a small OS? We only number about ten or less active members. I'm on a committee charged with finding individuals to serve as new officers and we are having no luck finding anyone willing to serve as Pres & V. Pres. Our members are either too busy with job demands or seniors dealing with illness.

any thoughts or suggestions?

We have society that is a bit bigger than yours but we have those problems as well. Its always the same members doing the same jobs.

Ask the local newspaper and local tv station if they would help by doing a story on your needs.

Our newspaper ears and local radio station will publish info I send them every month. It gets us some visitors, but little progress with getting new members.

The Gruene OS meets this month meets this coming Tuesday. We normally meet the first Tuesday of the month. With several of our members participating in the Neighbors Night Out, we moved the date for this month. Are you with the HOTOS or Alamo Area?

Never joined a society but have been to both of their shows. Been growing about 30 years.
