Brick is always an option; white or white and tan would be a nice base as well as the traditional red:




The slate pavers and stone could also work, depending on your budget and location:


And, of course, wood will work as well:

Slate is usually a great budget choice in stone if you can pave what you have now.

Before you add slate, make sure it won't make your bottom step too high. You probably want to get a mason to take a look. Can you find one in your area who offers consultation? Their may be more options than you realize.
