Headboard Issues.

It was high time to get a new bed and I went from full to queen. My issue now is my headboard. I like the one I have (black and white stripe upholstered shallow winged headboard [see first photo titled MY HEADBOARD]) and while it seems to have some room on the sides I don't think it will accommodate a queen bed. If anyone knows any magic tricks that will make it fit please let me know. Assuming I can't stretch the dimensions by wishing, I am looking for the least expensive option. I have attached 2 pictures of styles I like but am open to suggestions ... really open. I do like the nailhead/stud look. Any ideas that will save me money are appreciated. I'd rather spend it on my kitchen and living room renovation.

Could you not put it in another part of the room, and add a bench between to make it like a slipper sofa? At least it would like stylized and funky?

seems a shame to not use it. would it work with a guest bed in another room ?! and buy a new one for this room ?!

Cool idea. Gonna try it. Found a few headboards from Ballard that seem reasonable and affordable. Any other suggestions on that front? Also looked on ebay and craigslist for used stuff and was wondering if you knew of any other sites where I could search for used furniture? Again, Thanks so much for the help. Really appreciate it.

I would also look at Overstock.com for headboards. I have been using them more and more for my online design clients who are on a budget and have been pleasantly surprised by the selection and prices offered.

You can make a headboard for about $140. I just made a king headboard with wood from HD they cut the size I needed. I purchased two foam mattress pads to make it soft and covered it in fabric. You can find different instructions online. It was easy just need to have a good staple gun.

Hmmm. I can fixed stuff but am not handy when it comes to crafting. Would you mind sending me instructions you used. Do you think you could stud the edges if you wanted that nailhead look? Thank you. I would love to do that.

Try wayfair.com and joss and main I found my upholstered head boards there.

You can also look on pintrist for ideas. I am not very crafty it is pretty easy. You just wrap all the fabric and batting around the wood then staple and staple.
