bathroom vanity light dilemma

My medicine cabinet is not recessed and the depth is 5.5". The med cabinet size is 25-3/8"W x 30"H.
I plan to put a sconce light above the medicine cabinet. If it aims down I am afraid the top of the medicine cabinet will block the light. do you stiffest I aim the sconce light up to the ceiling? what would you do here? there is not enough room to put the sconce on the side of the medicine cabinet.
