Thanks for asking about the bed Tamarh. The bed was a custom design for this particular client. We were going of the traditional look of a tufted headboard with a cleaner and more contemporary feel. I also like to make the bed slightly wider on either side of whatever size bed we are using in order to allow for the additional puffiness of sheeting, duvet etc. as well as the pattern tufts and the joining of the upholstered rails to headboard. The base for the mattress is dropped slightly to hide the part where the fitted sheets tuck under the mattress. Finally, the legs were specifically made for size, shape and stain.
