Hurricane Matthew winds/ leaning banana trees

Hi-

I have 30 ft banana trees that won't stand straight anymore after the strong winds. Some broke in half and I already pruned those back. What should I do about the ones that are leaning over? It's about a 45* bend almost. How will it affect next year's growth? Will it grow "out" or adjust to growing straight again? Do I need to dig up all the trees and reset them? (please say no! I have about 20 trees!!!)

An expert has this to say:

"Even if the plant is "folded" by the wind, as long as there is some connection remaining in the flower stem, the fruit will ripen normally. It is better to leave the damaged stalk "as is" rather than damaging it further by trying to straighten or move it." If you have fruit, I'd put something down between the fruit and the ground and keep it dry.
