Keep in mind that just because a designer recommends something it is never the only option, or sometimes even the best option for you as the client. If you are not sure, ask about other options. Maybe a soft sage green or blue? Wood stained look? Or stick to all white? I personally think gray is way over used. When I think of french country, I think of natural woods, and soft colors. Think about what would look nice next to your nearby furniture.
