Open floor plan lighting

HELP! I am looking to replace the builder grade lighting in my new home in the open concept main level which includes the chandelier, entryway and kitchen pendants. Not to mention that white wall in the dining room is driving me nuts! Feedback greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Changing them to fixtures with more personality is a great idea. You have an opportunity to have the entry light hang a little lower and be larger so it is seen from the street. I think you can also go larger on your pendents. Of the lights you identified, the bottom left brass over the table would go with the middle brass pendent. Or the top left black light would look good with either of the remaining pendents. I don't see anything that would work above your entry, though. First decide what type of finish you want, and then start with a dining room light of the right scale. Then it should be easier to find a coordinating semi flush mount and pendents.

Forgot to add, here are some lights I've liked so far. I'm on the fence about pendants with clear glass as I would hate to have to clean them constantly, but open to the right light.

Thank you! I haven't had a chance to look at entryway lights yet, so definitely open to ideas. I'm torn between a black or brass finish.

Do black You have black accents and crime hardware. I think the brass will clash in the kitchen

Hiya! I am not a designer but I can chime in.

So, one of the things that jumped at me is the stainless steel in your appliances, fixtures and range hood vs the black/brass/bronze lighting choices you are eyeing. I would suggest the island pendants and dining table chandelier should be the same metal since you already have the stainless steel there. You probably can choose a different metal for the foyer.

With that said, I think the capiz chandelier + bronze/brass white orb pendant would be amazing. I also heart your mesh drum pendant choice.

Thanks all! As much as I love brass, I think I'm leaning towards black in the dining/kitchen as I have these barstools along my island. Of course, those would be easy enough to change out, but they are so (shockingly) comfortable.

Lizet T - isn't that drum pendant great?! I love it! Great idea on the entryway light. Love that.
