Wall color

We're changing the countertops in our rental, which will be selling after we fix it up. The new countertops will be dark gray quartz, and the cabinets will be painted white, or off-white (any suggestions which white?) The floors are fairly new, so we're not changing that. And we're on limited budget. Anyhoo, the tiles are yellowish beige. What wall color do you suggest I use? We're leaning towards light gray or greige, and this should be the color of the whole house. I'll attach pics, one by one, because it won't let me post it all at once, something to do with low memory (?)

floor (now I'm not sure if it's yellowish or brownish)

And since we're here, would light gray go with this carpet color? Thank you!

Balboa Mist has purple undertones. I sampled it for my entry and I'd be leary of using it in the whole house.

Some friends of mine just did the body of their new build in BM Bruton White (very close to Balboa Mist) and it has no purple undertones. It's gorgeous.

Agreeable Gray would probably work well with all your beige (despite it's name, it is more of a muted beige -- the gray being in the muting). WHat I would be careful with is that countertop with the tile and beige carpet. I think the ones on the right would be better choices from what I am seeing on my monitor.

The whole first floor is tiled, and the kitchen won't be seen from the living room, where the stairs (carpet) are, so I'm not too worried about it.

LisaD82, I read the same, that Balboa mist has purple undertones, which I do not like. Such a lovely color, though. May have to go with Agreeable Gray.

To cut cost, I'm thinking of color-matching it at a big box store. Is any store better than others when it comes to color-matching? Or does it depend on the person doing it?

lascatx, the countertop sample on the right, TS502, is the one we are going with. No B/W speckle :) And I got an email from Sherwin Williams paint about the 40% off sale. I guess we're getting the paint there if there's not much price difference, for better coverage. My hubby just bought a paint sprayer and he's so excited to use it!

I used SW paint for our dining room with very little natural light, something popular that is almost equivalent of BM Revere Pewter, and it looks like wet concrete with purplish undertones at ties. I'm afraid it will look the same. But maybe not because the kitchen has a big window facing southeast.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

I thought I saw you say the third one on the left? It does say right (did you change it just to mess with me or did I need a nap? ;-) ). The one you have picked is a warm gray and should work. Hoe you can get the paint mixed without standing in line as long as I did to buy paint for my sister during one of those sales. I wasn't even having it mixed, but had to wait for the folks who were at the end of the last day of the sale. You'd think it was the last paint to ever be sold from that line. LOL

Let us know how it goes.

Bahahahaha, lascatx! I didn't change it. Someone needs a nap. Had to double check where my right is ;) Thanks for the heads up on SW store.
