Reverse the room. Put the tv up between the windows with the media cabinet below. Place your couch facing tv. Large chair to the left of the couch (left while sitting on couch). Start there and take more photos, I can go from that.

Hmmmm the only problem is the cable for the tv is not wired on the side. Would it be ok even though my front door would open to the couch. ? Here is a pic...

Lower your artwork over the sofa so it is centered between the top and bottom of the shutters edges. I would move the console to the other side of the room and place it under that window. It looks cramped where it is currently. Then push the armchair slightly to the right and put a round end table between the chair and sofa in the corner. Your rectangular end table on the other side can be rotated so the longer side is against the sofa arm. Your blue furniture looks nice with your wall color.

Ok, lets say you have to leave the tv. Take the clock away, we can find a spot when we are done. Move your tv and console to the center of that wall. Ill look again and send more.

Flip the large chair to the other side. Use the sofa table to show interest and color you would like in the room.

Lower print between windows to center in the height of the windows.

Pull your table with the lamp forward by a few inches to separate it from the window behind.

It is a challenge, but the couch, chair and rug look good, just need to tie it all together. A large mirror over the console is a good idea.

I moved the console since I don't have a mirror yet, But I think I will need to get a picture /mirror for the blank wall.

Eventually mounting the TV is preferred, but that wall is hollow, behind the TV.

I hate having that walkway but the front door obviously cannot be moved. Is this better ...? I will decliner entertainment center btw!

Your furniture and rug are lovely. I would flip the large chair to the other side then find a round side table to be placed in the corner between the sofa and chair. Lower the art above the sofa considerably. Leave about 8 inches between top of sofa and bottom of art. Remove all the little bits from the console and add artwork (not a mirror) above the console along with larger accessories. You may have room to place another chair angled to face the sofa on the console side of the room.

So as it is, there is a "walk through" in front of the tv. Relocate the tv to where the sofa table & chair are, placing those pieces on opposite wall, where the single chair is, then tv viewing is not impeded. Try that and then we can place the single chair & sofa table.

By "single chair" I mean the armless one. And as others have suggested, definitely lower the art above the sofa. Any mirror considerations will need to take into account as to what is might be reflecting. Perhaps a mirror would be more functional near the entry.

Great tips! so switching the tv, would I place the large sofa right up against the wall or leave the walk through area to go behind the sofa? (And not affect line of vision )

Based on where you cable is located, I would leave arm chair where it is now. I would move sofa table. You could move behind sofa -which moves sofa closer to TV or move it under the window. If behind sofa, you would have room for a larger chair to go opposite other chair.If it is under window, you could put a tray on it for mail, keys etc and another lamp for the room. The small chair appears to clash with rug ...so put it at end of sofa table by door or under picture hanging by door way. Move end table between sofa and arm chair. Will clock work in hallway? If not in hallway, try in corner on opposite wall (across
from where end table is now). Pillows on sofa are too stark white. Could find pillow covers for them. ( crate & barrel or pottery barn)
Might be cheaper to buy new pillows that coordinate with rug, picture and sofa. If sofa table goes under window, move leaves/pennant decoration to front of table. If table is behind
sofa, move to below window in hall way. Need some decorations on coffee table.

I like caliedesign's suggestions about the artwork and end tables. I'd also add another table lamp to the suggested new round end table, to light the room better. So you'd have a lamp at either end of the sofa.

Mirrors are not cosy. Instead, I would put another piece of art, fairly large, on the wall behind the chair.

To add soft inviting look, put floor to ceiling curtains beside each window, in a non-shiny fabric. That will give you a softer, cosy, intimate look.

I really agree with setting up place. Too really need to reverse the room. Tv where the sofa is and float the sofa facing the tv on the edge of the rug. Then you would have a walk through not obstructing the living area. You could put a sofa table behind your sofa with a couple lamp or whatever. It will look so much better. It's not to hard to rerun the canllemkm

If you keep your original arrangement, keep the console table on the windowless wall with art above and move the arm chair to the end from which you've removed the armless chair.

Certainly there must be a special space for the tall clock other than the stairwall. I wouldn't worry about the coffee table until I got the room's layout right.
