Chair suggestions please
Could y'all give me some suggestions for chairs to go with this cedar table we had made. We have a bench for the side against the wall, but I'm looking for chairs for the rest of the table. (Something that wouldn't break the bank would be great!) And no, the rug under the table is NOT staying....it's just under it keeping the table off the concrete until the new one arrives.

I refinished our $5 thrift store table with a dark stain and new tile and we went completely outside the box with metal chairs and love how it looks. I think a similar style would look great with yours, perhaps in a copper color with higher back to accentuate the cedar:

9 years agoI love metal bistro chairs! They come in a variety of colors so you could really have some fun. These are from bizchair.com and are about $42 each. Target has the Carlisle chair in 13 colors and also one in metal with a wood seat.

Hi Susan, that table is gorgeous! I would go with something more of a solid colour, a bit mid-lower profile and quite neutral and with some comfort! let the table be the focus. I have a wood table and have higher backed chairs and hate them now - wish I had gone with something more like this:

Just because your house is more farmhouse/rustic doesn't mean everything in your home needs to be one way. It can look so overdone if you have all the same look - I already see many different woods going on...might be nice to have some fabric.
