Last winter was REALLY mild even for my area down on the Texas Coast. My calamondin fruit overwintered on the tree rather than being frozen and falling off. I have enjoyed having fruit all year for once. I was surprised to find the seeds are beginning to sprout inside the fruit.

A number of years ago...maybe eight years?...I planted a calamondin seed. It grew into a really tall slender tree with huge thorns but hasn't made any fruit yet.
