I have my quartz backsplash 7" in height using the same quartz and I love it, looks clean, classic, no concerns about matching colours etc. Can also be higher if you wish.

I suggest a gray glass...but is has to match the glaze exactly.

Wait until your cabinets are up and your countertops are in to decide. It will look very different. You can then bring a sample home to decide backsplash. I ended up with a totally different choice after I saw the whole gestalt.

Do be careful. Cambria can look way busier when it is installed than from a small section. I like my Cambria, but if I had to do it again I might consider a more basic (and less expensive) counter. That allows for more bling and options with the backsplash.

Your cabinet looks traditional to me. Glass tile will tilt it more modern (OK if that's what you want to do). I had a glass tile that looked smashing with my Cambria, but ultimately went with a tile because uber modern really didn't fit my home.

That cabinet isnt our exact pick for style-just in color. I'm expecting it to look like this, but I am guessing I may do a basic subway tile simply for the reason you stated,...its uber busy already. We also wanted to find a compass rose mosaic and have that be the focal of the backsplash.

I would say no mosaic, the countertops are very busy and I think you need something simple for the backsplash. Even your cabinet finish with the glazing is on the busier side, in terms of cabinet colors.
