When my grandfather and dad had a shop in Englewood, one of my favorite jobs was to perform Re-Screening of windows. This is quite an art to master. Eventually I got very good and I would knock out dozens of repairs on any given Saturday.
Rent got high and I needed to take my show on the road.
Always looking back wondering if I had made a mistake by leaving the brick and mortar.
I knew that if I were to be successful, I needed diversity and a unique approach into what I already do.
The moble showroom was a huge risk, but as I look back at my career, that change, defined my business and who I am.
It was the key to opening the doors to my own brick and mortar, that moves.
A store that I essentially can take anywhere and cater to my client just outside their home.
Getting back to, fill a need.
So obviously, as I install my products, I notice the inner workings of their windows.
And as I do, I often see ripped and torn screens.
After mentioning that to my consumer, I hear, yeah I know, it's been like that for a while, never got around to repairing that.
I think :
I'm the guy at the window
I've got my foot in your door
I've got a solution for that screen.
A need is born.
