Artwork placement and decor ideas for entry.

Hi Houzzers,

We have repainted our front hallway BM Edgecomb Grey, stained the bench a walnut colour and are now
replacing the artwork on the wall. I think it is placed too high though it is at eye
level. I'd like your opinion on placement? I feel we place our artwork a little high. Does it depend on the size of the artwork maybe?

Also, we are replacing artwork above a sofa. Should it still be at eye level or lower?

Also, any suggestions on decor or inexpensive storage solutions for this entry? It's a cold space and I'd really like to warm it up. Having said that I have a 9 month old golden retriever and two kids.. Shoes and wetness are an issue especially with winter coming.

Also, I'm having a problem finding a nice rug that withstands dirt and wetness but is the correct size. I put an outdoor rug 4 x 6 with an underpad in the space that I ordered off Wayfair and it did not look good nor did it fit the space. I'm stuck with it, so I moved it into another room. It looks good with the hardwood just not with the tile. ok. It looks quite awful with the tile actually. This is it https://www.wayfair.ca/Diamond-Platinum-and-White-Indoor-Outdoor-Area-Rug-RDB203-XX-DAX2526.html

I would love your opinions on a nice rug that would look flattering with the space. If needed I'll post better pictures of the space.

Thank you everyone.. Look forward to your help!
