Taj Mahal Quartzite - Good material for kitchen?

I have only ever used granite. Thinking about installing Taj Mahal quartzite which is Two and a half times more expensive than the granite I was looking at.

Anyone installed Taj Mahal in a kitchen? I'm curious how it holds up to staining.

Any insight is appreciated as always!

After eighteen months of use our leathered TM still looks brand new - not one stain, scratch, or nick. Highly recommend this surface for any kitchen.

We have had our Taj Mahal counters for about seven months, and have thus far found it to be impervious to pretty much anything and everything! Nothing has stained it, nothing has scratched it, nothing has etched it. It is absolutely gorgeous and is the first thing anyone comments on when they see our new kitchen. I, too, highly recommend!

1 1/2 years now for us - worth every extra penny spent. Makes me smile every morning. I still sometimes walk in my kitchen and am shocked at it's beauty.

No stains, no scratches and I have been tuff on it. Honeymoon is over and caution is all gone. So glad I sprung for it
