are you talking about wall that has chicken print on it now? I feel like there is a lot going on right now, I don't think you need a mirror or actually anything on that wall, maybe a floor lamp in that corner

You probably don't want a mirror reflecting your tv. However, it would be nice to see the wall in question. Is that your only concern for us Houzzers?:)

I'll take better pictures tomorrow morning in the daylight. Hopefully show more perspective of the room. My concern is that wall is literally the wall that you see from my front door. Thanks for the input and yesI do tend to be a clutter bug with decor.

Here is a picture from the entry and two pics that show the whole room. The back wall is pretty much all window.

I have to agree with the last two comments. The clock is too big but I do like the color of it and the vase with the hydrangeas. You could almost get away with the clock if you removed everything else on the mantel, hearth and print to the right of the window.

Perspective wise, these images should help. The clock we used here in one of our designs would work in your space if it was small enough. Also notice the picture in the second photo.

Bayberry, I really love your color choices. Idk why, but I don't want art over the fireplace. I had a large wreath before. I think I prefer something a bit more organic or old style feeling as it sets the tone for the room. I stripped down the mantle as recommended and I don't like it. He app won't let me take a photo. I'll attach it next.

Nice room Terri. love your wood wall. How about if you took everything off the mantle and just left the clock? remove half of the items on the hearth. find something tall (like your hydrangea arrangement but taller ) to put in that corner where the chicken picture is (remove the pic tho). take a picture and lets see what that looks like.

I agree with other comments about the clock. My thoughts are that it fights with the brick and steals the show, and I think it's because the numbers are big and chunky not necessarily the size. It almost needs its own special place on a blank wall. The fireplace is the focal point and has a busy stone look to it, so keep things simple. Either find a clock with very similar tones and colors so it blends in or use a simple dried arrangement like in this photo.

The mirror if you have one I would use in the corridor into the living room. Mirrors are great for small dark spaces to reflect light.

The problem with the mirror is what will it be reflecting, the ceiling, floor, sofa? I would eliminate the suitcase and clock on the hearth, move the plant in their place and move on to the next project. I think the hardest thing for you to get use to is the more minimal look. You seem to enjoy your collections.

Relocate the dining room canvas to the mantle. See how the green in the canvas picks up the green in the device on top of the suit case. So much better without all the stuff. On your way.
