hi, I'm wondering if a Persian wool rug in red pattern would suit my minimal apartment?

the one I'm looking at is slightly longer..

I often see furniture on the rug..like part of the sofa, a coffee table etc, but it wouldn't work here as furniture is pushed away for space.. opinions welcome.. first is 40cm shorter in length and maybe 10cm narrower, second is 10cm longer roughly
