I usually place a pre-emergent weed killer on my Centipede lawn this time of year, but the Summer in the South (Zone 7) was bruttal. The sun was so intense and hot, no amount of water could prevent the grass from getting a sun burn. Now that the temperatures have dropped to 75°F during the day and 50° at night, I have noticed new growth with seeds. If it wasn't so dry I would've already applied the pre-emergent weed killer (the dandelions are doing great). Could I further damage my lawn if I place a pre-emergent weed killer on it now? Thanks.
