We used our first jar of baked beans tonight as part of DH's childhood "sloppy joe" dish. To me, sloppy joes are tomato saucy but his is not. Ground beef and a can of baked beans. Anyway, I used the NCHFP recipe (molasses) for baked beans and he really liked them! So rewarding to make something new and it be a hit. We did add a little corn starch mixture to make it a little more saucy like what you buy in the store but it didn't take much time or effort to do that. The beans had a bit of a different "mouth feel" but not a negative one. I do plan to do more at some point. Now to figure out what to do with all the pinto beans I was gifted! Lori
