Is It A Good Idea To Use Two Fertilizers Together?

Hello Everyone,

I have three Phalaenopsis Orchids. I currently use Schultz Orchid fertilizer which is a 20-20-15 formula. I use 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water and have been doing so for the past three years. I water with the fertilizer/water mix every week. I've had no problems.

Someone recommended using Grow More Orchid fertilizers. The first one is a "Bloom" formula, which is 6-30-30 and the "Grow" formula which is 30-10-10. They would be mixed together. The measurements would be: 1/8 teaspoon each, which equals to 1/4 teaspoon total per gallon of water.

I was instructed to water with plain water thoroughly and then water again with the fertilizer/water mix.

My question is: should I use the two mixed together? I just want to make sure I don't harm my orchids.

Thank you.
