lounge bed help!

so I love both of these beds I have pictured but both are from pottery barn teen. that means they do not come in eastern king size which I need and they are also ridiculously overpriced. any ideas on where to have one made at a decent price or a really cool DIY plan that doesn't look DIY? im looking for my bedroom to scream loungy, comfort, laziness in an adult, put together sort of way. lots of pillows and a large overstuffed duvet type of deal. also, ideas on bedside furniture? nightstands, chest of drawers, trunks, shelving? your input would really rock my world! thanks so much!

Sorry that pic is just plain sleazy if I was a date i would run from that room and for sure you do not want a sofa bed as your permanent bed . We too share a bed with 2 big dogs I just choose bedding that is washable

Are you an adult or a teen , I can see teens loving the 1 st one as for the other that can have a DIY headboard made attached to the wall with french cleats and then a simple bed frame then add the bedding for that comfy look add a bench to foot end

wonderful idea! I'm an adult in male in my early 30's and I want the lived in comfortable look without bringing dates home to the typical bachelor pad notorious of single guys my age. I never liked the whole 'living spaces matching sets' sort of vibe for my space and prefer to put my own mark up. this particular idea I'm having a bit of trouble with. I also forgot to mention that I share my bed with two large dogs so durability and stain removal are priorities of everything in my home.

This idea is more of a ''I never grew out of living in my parent's basement with no friends coming over'' look than anything a grown woman would ever find attractive.

IMO the bedding does more to denote comfy than some fancy useless bed go get some great bedding that is easy to make the bed with not a million pillows but lux looking and of course washable so maybe the best is a duvet and duvet cover instead of a comforter . I for one would like to see the actual room to get a better idea of what you can do

I know what you're going for. I have been tempted by the design of some PB Teen furniture but it is usually too small for adults. IKEA does have some interesting concepts but they really are not great quality nor very comfortable. PB Teen construction is very basic so it shouldn't be too hard to get a custom futon maker to build the right sizes for you. Patricia does have a point in that the bedding will be the making of this concept. Once the platform is done invest in a great duvet and few sets of good cotton sheets.
