I'm curious why you would go with hard wired speakers. There are so many options for excellent Bluetooth portable speakers. We have a large yard with multiple sitting areas; deck, patio and fire pit. We take our Bluetooth speaker wherever we choose to sit.

I happen to like speakers in many places at the same time so the hardwired ones are a good choice in the ceiling . I do agree a good home theatre store will have many options

Snapav has an excellent line (episode) of outdoor speakers including in-ceiling speakers. We do not have the in-ceiling speakers because they would not work for our application. We do have some of their other products including their buried subwoofer for our outdoor theater, and we have been satisfied.

Do you just want sound in your covered patio, or do you want good sound? There's no wrong answer to that question - it all depends on what you're trying to do.

Do you have pictures of the space? What is going to be driving the speakers? How will you use the sound in the patio?
