How would you furnish this room ?

I need to starting planning on purchasing furniture to set up my family, which is currently used as my bedroom. I have no idea where to even start. Where should I put a tv? Do I do couches or a sectional.... Help!

IMO, you have 2 options with this room. TV on either the 14' wall or the 7'7" wall between the windows. Since it's such a long room, if you put the TV in between the windows on a console, you could place a sofa directly across from it and add two chairs perpendicular to it on either side. With so many windows and doorways, I'd stay away from a sectional. You're limited to placement and the ability to rearrange as needed. You could then place a sofa table behind the sofa, a coffee table, and two chairs on each side with small tables between them. If you put the TV on the 14' wall, you could add a sofa across from it with a chair on either side. You would then have room for a game table, reading corner, or something else on the other end of the room near the foyer entry. It's a nice size room and you have several options to set it up.

You could put the sectional a few feet in front of the wall with windows and put a sofa table on wall behind sectional in between windows

Some questions. More pictures - Stand in the hall next to the bucket and take a picture into the room. I'm assuming that is an entry. Where does the other doorway lead? Room dimensions? How many people need to sit at one time regularly? I'm thinks sofa and chairs instead of a sectional on first pass. That TV staying or a different one? Any furniture on hand to be used in this room or all new?

The room dimensions are 23x14. There are two entryways. One off the dining room which puts you looking at the Windows. The second is off the main entry. It's a sunken room. All new furniture will be purchased.

Everyday use its just two people, but would like this will be the main space for having guests come to. There is a small room with fireplace but not large enough for different seating options.

I like this picture for your room. Place two sofa's in the middle of the room. Put the tv on the wall between the front windows, where they show the fireplace. You can put in on a credenza or in a something tall. Put a narrow sofa table behind the sofa backing to the entry. You can place a desk with a mirror above on the wall between the entry and the dining room door. (I'm not a pro.)
