I've got a mystery bromeliad I acquired as a pup from my grandmother in Austin, Texas. It's grown enthusiastically over three summers in Dallas, Texas, with overwintering in the house. Flowers in late winter, a 2-4 foot long slender spike with tiny, white, fragrance-free flowers - not showy at all.
