If you can't replace those oversized windows so they aren't popping out, you could paint the frames a darker color so they recede. Then, do the opposite with the door. It should be framed in a lighter color to make it pop out. A light portico could achieve this. The key is balance.

Last, if budget permits, a dormer window would look great.

Remove the two scraggly bushes flanking the door. Build an extended porch in that space with wide steps. Replace the storm door with one that has more glass. You might enlist an architect to revamp the entire window treatment, including the little roof structures above them.

What a cute home! I think a portico and new front door would be stunning! The side windows are beautiful.

What they did was purchase stock windows and they put siding in as fill instead of purchasing custom sized windows. So first thing when budget allow is putting the proper size windows back in. Remove the scrubbing shrubs and a portico would look wonderful.

New trim on the windows or new shutters. Maybe new door if you can afford. Trim the bushes in the front. Maybe add some cute flowers. Paint the brick a new color like gray or navy blue. The color is really up to you.

If you don't want flowers by the bushes, you can make a line of them following along the walkway.

I like the windows and I have seen many houses or this age with large windows. If you like light they are a premium. I would paint the storm door and do the landscaping as suggested.

I agree with previous suggestions. Also, the white door with cream windows is killing me. It almost matches but doesn't. It should either match or really contrast.
