Sorry - Another Shaker kitchen question? Which company??

We are based in the Midlands and planning a painted shaker kitchen for our house renovation but my head is spinning from all the options? We probably need some bespoke elements as we have a slightly awkward space and want to utilise the whole height of the wall (~2.7m). Whilst I want it to be good quality and look beautiful, I don't want to spend more than necessary as so far this
house is eating money!!

All advice and recommendations welcome, in particular has anyone used Shaker Kitchen Company, White Kitchen Company, kitchens 4 DIY, Evie Willow or Broadway Bespoke Kitchens to name a few!

Having just gone through exactly the same process and spent literally hours trawling the internet, visiting showrooms and speaking to companies on the phone we ended up ordering with Unfitted from Moreton-in -Marsh.

Other companies we considered were deVOL (rather expensive!) and Main kitchen company in York.

Unfitted pricing is very comparable to Evie Willow and a bit more than Shaker Kitchen Company, however they have a showroom you can go and view the cabinetry.

They are also super, super helpful, nothing is too much trouble and they will come out for free and help with designs, ideas etc. Ask for Mark the owner.

Hi Joduring

Happy to give you a free hand with your design. An important consideration I have with my clients who request ceiling tall cabinets is usability of the top shelves. An issue that can be difficult to get around.

I have a few solutions that may help. feel free to contact us if you would some impartial advice.

Not sure about the companies you have mentioned, I'm sure they would be O.K if you do your research online

P.s a made to measure option would improve the aesthetics of your design, there are a few options that won't break the budget.

I have dealt with Evie Willow in the past for a customer and have always found them very helpful. The shaker company have a few months waiting list for designs at the moment so you or your designer will need to get on the list to get someone out (if you have not already).

You definitely have a great room there and could create something wonderful.

Have you had any other designs done or sat with a designer to go through the space and your desires. Just like me, there are several who offer free consultations to start giving you some ideas to work with - and help sourcing if needed. All the best.

Hi. We have just completed a kitchen in a shaker style, but with some bespoke elements included to make the most of the space. We are lucky that we are independent designers/suppliers so we can easily 'mix and match' to be sure you get exactly what you want. I have attached a picture of the one we have just finished which shows the shaker style 'standard' units combined with the bespoke shelving and wine rack to take it right up to the ceiling. This isn't as tall as your space, but we could do something similar. Good luck!

Hello,

Our sister company deVOL Kitchens may be able to help. They have a Shaker Kitchen range as well a bespoke Classic range. Prices start from around £8000, with a free design service.

They are based alongside us at our Cotes Mill showroom in Loughborough, so if you are the Midlands as well, hopefully not too far for you to travel. They have four floors of kitchen showrooms, with our flooring showroom at the front of the building.
