Hello everyone, I am currently in the process of gutting my cottage/home and need some advice on layout!
I have attached the dimensions here and also one of my layout ideas in the photos

The cottage will be completely gutted other than exterior walls, so anything goes.

A few of the things I wanted were:
1.) I will be doing a one bedroom with small "loft" over bedroom area to give extra sleeping space for children etc.

2.) I want to utilize a fair sized island in the kitchen with seating to do without dining room

3.) I would prefer bedroom in rear of house

4.) I would like a front entry coat closet

5.) I would like to utilize any space I can to make the house feel "roomy"

6.) I would like entry/living room/kitchen to be all open, will have faulted ceiling in this area.
If you have any ideas or suggestions they are much appreciated!!

7.) Would prefer "water closet" in the master bath.

8.) Where possible, I would like to use "barn doors" to save space and give rustic look.
