Can someone I.D this small tree please? Very skin irritating.

i actually thought it was poison oak at first it hurt so bad, but realized all the little hairs are tiny splinters that get stuck in your skin. Other than than that nice looking tree lol. I'm located in Alewa Heights, Honolulu. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

I want to know too! Fwiw, before Google, a botanist at Pearl City at extension service told me it was gumi or goumi, a Japanese ornamental. Now that I search on that name, gumi looks nothing like this plant. Good thing I cut it down and yanked the root from my garden back then!
