This posting is familiar. I see you removed the big grey balls, good start. The lamp is a no for sure. For one thing you need a shade that does not look yellow when it is lit. I still say change that painting, it does not look right with the table. A mirror or different painting would look good. As for the chairs another no, but if you keep them put some decorative pillow on them and pull them away from the wall pull them forward to make it a little more cozy. If you can't because that is the traffic flow into the room I would remove the chairs. Right now the chairs look like they are chairs for people to sit in and wait to dance. You have a beautiful room and I know you can pull it together.

I honestly feel like the mercury glass table lamp and painting do not match the aesthetic of the rest of the room - you have lovely wainscoting, a nice deep wall color as well as lovely RH dining furniture pieces - I would recommend going a bit more subdued on the light fixtures and art to let the furniture stand out. I agree with plaft on the shades - warm white shades (NOT bright white) work better with your room. I would also advice against placing those two counter chairs by your beautiful fireplace (to me it would honestly seem like they are extra seats you have and you found a temporary spot for them). I would go for more appropriate and purposeful fireside seating (some cozy club chairs, ottoman, etc). I can see your house has lovely bones / interior architectural details and would love to see more pictures so we have a better grasp of what we are working with. Cheers
