I love the blue. What is your color scheme throughout your home?

I'm absolutely drawn to the cooler tones, blues in general. My living room is a sandy cream color with teal accents; formal living room is beige with green drapes (we'll be changing that, though.) Foyer/hallway is an ocean blue. I've tried to get myself to branch out more and be bolder in color choices in general, and it's difficult.

Look At all the beautiful whites and off whites . your kitchen is not a showcase for wall color. You've picked all classic items so why make the walls stand out .? blue canisters ,dish towels ,and place matts-do your blue that way.

Look for inspiration images first, and then absolutely go for the color. It's paint. You can change your mind any time.

One thought: nothing makes faux marble look faux-er than pairing it with the real thing in a backsplash. Everybody wants a touch of real marble in the kitchen once they've chosen quartz... Buy a marble mortar and pestle, but don't use a marble bs. Good Luck!

Hi-I used a wild (in my book at least) color in my kitchen and absolutely love it. Hibiscus -Ben Moore (aura) actually. It's wonderful and not at all overbearing or too much or anything. I know the picture doesn't show the intensity but gives you a rough idea. We've accented with a blue -you can see a hint of it in the wall photos. It really pops against the citrony of my wall color. This might give you an idea for branching out while still loving your blues!

I agree about trying to mix quartz marble and the real thing. Especially right next to one another. I would select a white tile backsplash. You could go wild with the design. I like a deeper navy almost black paint. I think it's luscious.

I have Blue Danube in a bedroom with Southern exposure. Depending on light, in can read very bright.

I'd probably consider a slightly grayed down version, like van Deusen Blue (but it's darker).

And heres a bathroom in all white and marble but with blue paint, I bit more dark blue, not so bright. In this photo, you can see the difference in color where the light from the window hits it.

Excellent point on the real marble next to the imitation. I'll probably go with a basic white subway tile.

We have grey shaker cabinets and went with a bold teal'ish color for the entry way into the kitchen.
