So I am new to lily growing, although avid gardener. This summer I was introduced to the double bloom Miss Lucy lily, STUNNING!!! So I ordered a bunch of bulbs for it and a few other double bloom orientals and hybrids. I received them in August and was advised by seller to plant immediately for blooming next year. As I had ordered so many, and hasn't actually finished my 'lily' beds, I planted all the bulbs in pots so I could put them where I wanted in the fall. (I ordered a LOT of bulbs). Of the potted bulbs about 15 of them immediately started to grow, to the point that as it was starting to get really cold at night, they were getting buds. I did a little research and found out that if I brought them inside and put them in the right light they would actually bloom. So I have done this. However, they are holding their blooms forever, which is AMAZING, and my house smells unbelievable, but I am concerned that I won't be able to get them.in the ground now for blooming next summer!

Should I be cutting off the flowers off and putting the rest

in the ground now? Waiting for the greenery to die back and then putting in the ground. Leaving them in pots for the winter?? Thoughts? Advice?
