My eyes actually accept the pictures of the quilts at the Wedding Dress Blue site's better (and you might recognize a few I've made) than most of Bonnie's, but her's can be changed, color-wise (and I've done that), in order to see the actual pattern easier. Enjoy your scrappiness. :-)

I'm also a fan of the scrap quilts on Wedding Dress Blue. She has made a lot of baby quilts that give us good ideas for scrappy baby quilts.

Bonnie also has a chart showing which quilts use which size scraps (the link is at the top of her free pattern page).

It does take a long time cutting up scraps (and to me it's pretty boring) but it does help you feel a little bit like you're in control. :)

How pretty, Vasu! How big are your squares? That's going to be beautiful!

When I'm doing a project similar to yours I find myself tempted to count how many will be in the finished project. I try very hard not to add it up till I'm done! For instance, many years ago I made a latch hook rug in an Oriental-carpet type of design, and I kept wanting to calculate how many pieces of yarn it took to complete one square of the design and how many squares total there were (the printed pattern was only for 1/4 of the design). I managed to wait till it was done, and it was something like 11,000 pieces of yarn! I was really glad I didn't count them up before I was done! LOL

it will be 100 blocks with 25 squares each - so 2500 squares. Not as many as yours - 11000 would make me faint indeed :-)

trouble with controlled scrappy is that you need more if some and less of others. Running out of blue scraps and the green scraps remain untouched. It's a special project - has something from every quilt I've ever made over the years.

I got through the yellow/orange drawer yesterday. Pretty plodding work, but amazingly satisfactory. I'll have to find containers for these strips now. I'm already overflowing the little drawer set I'm using. If I can't keep them tidy, I'll be back with the same old problem again.

Vasu..I agree with everyone else, your quilt will be stunning. It's a great idea, scraps from every quilt.

I've not made the bold step to cut up scraps. I find when I need a scrap, , I always have that odd ball piece that's perfect and I'm glad I didn't cut it down to a another size. I will need to check out the websites mentioned, maybe I can be inspired....although I think I need to get my fabric addiction under control first...lol.
